Month 2 Update – Sort Of

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet. Mostly because I have a jam-packed day planned and since it’s Sunday I intend to relax a bit too, thank you very much!

I’ve not actually finished my 2nd month, but I’m almost there. Next weekend will be 8 weeks. However, I will be out of town the next two weekends so I decided to do my 2-month check-in early.

I’m excited to say that, in 7 weeks I have lost 2 pant sizes, 11 inches, and 8 pounds. Yay!

There are a few things about that which are especially exciting for me. First off, it normally takes me no time at all to gain weight but a ton of time to lose it. My recent weight gain of close to 10 pounds happened over 3 months. Right now I’m only about a pound or so away from where I was before that so I’m excited to see a change in the pattern. Secondly, the weight I was at before that 3-month weight gain took a year to achieve. That means that in two months I’ve lost almost as much as it took me a whole year to lose before! And I’m not doing anything except working out and eating right. No magic pills, no supplements, no nothing!

It feels so good to see such rapid changes. I’m sure to others 8 lbs in 2 months seems slow and horrible but it’s amazing for me. And you know what? It’s been pretty stress-free for the most part, which makes it even better!

And now I’m done. I hope everyone else is happy with their weight loss today and has a great rest of the weekend! 🙂

  • If I may say so, as an Outpatient Registered Dietitian, to achieve a sustainable weight loss, I recommend shooting for approximately a 1 lb weight loss per week so 8 lbs in 2 months is just about right! More importantly, it’s look like you are focusing on a holistic way of achieving this weight loss by eating sensibly and exercising; you also mentioned several inches lost, so clearly the results speak volumes! I wish you the very best on your path towards good health😊!
